Welcome

The New Man

NEW CREATION IN CHRIST

Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.

Romans 5: 12

For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

Roman 5: 19

When Adam sinned against God, the sin nature was imparted in him and everyone became a sinner through him. We know quite well that every person born in this world belongs to the race of Adam, the first man. Therefore, by the virtue of this birth in the flesh, we have the sin nature in us; which makes us estranged from God as sinners. We became sinners not because we do bad things but because we were born in it.

And so it is written, the first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.

1 Corinthians 15: 45, 47

This is not a matter of conduct or character but of origin. It is a matter of inheritance and not attitude. A sinner can do good things, but irrespective of whether what he does is good or not, if he is not born again, he is still a sinner. To further illustrate this point consider these Scriptures:

And as I may so say, Levi also, who receiveth tithes, payed tithes in Abraham. For he was yet in the loins of his father, when Melchisedec met him.

Hebrews 7: 9, 10

Levi the great-grand son of Abraham was a seed in him when he paid tithes to Melchisedec, king of Salem and the priest of the most High God. In the same way as Levi was in the loins of Abraham, so also is everybody born of a woman by Adam. Everybody born in this world firstly belongs to the race and lineage of Adam, the first man and subsequently to the race of Christ if he is born again.

But of him are ye in Christ Jesus………….

I Corinthians 1: 30

If one becomes born again, he is in Christ and has become a new creature and has a new nature created in righteousness; thus belonging to the race of the second man and the last Adam, Christ.  Are you born again? Do you have a new nature? Do you belong to the race of the last Adam?
